Big Buddha temple

A visit to Phuket is incomplete without climbing to the top of Nakkerd Hill to gaze at the 45-metre seated Buddha in Subduing Mara. Not only is the marble statue an awe-inspiring sight, but the vantage point on the mountain offers 360-degree views overlooking the south of the island. This magnificent Big Buddha statue is located near the popular Wat Chalong Temple, which is the largest of its kind in Phuket.
